I cannot recall a time on the net, that you were not an integral part; Poems numbered, your rhymes in a set, Before I even came along to start. We came to meet through mutual friends In our happy place, a land of metaphor, Where when one ends, another begins; There, for me, you became a mentor. I've seen you up and down, day to day, Like a phoenix, you would rise and stroke; When life's battles brought it your way, You'd calm the storm, in jest or joke. For now, let's let the laughter suspend; When that platform returns, time'll tell. More important, to see you on the mend. Mind if I pull up a chair and sit a spell?
