Interesting write on paan. I love meetha paan but without beetle nuts. I heard chewing only Betel leaves after heavy lunch is good for digestion. But others ingredients i am not sure especially beetle nuts. I loved the concept and enjoyed the paan with all those ingredients.

Interesting poem. Chewing Betel leaves with all these things is part of a vast Indian, Muslim and Arabian culture. I am sur its benefits out weigh it ills as reason for its continued use. Betel leaves are used in temples also for worshiping purposes.

Informative as well as interesting. Yes, habits are like addictions. They never leave us. The history of betel leaves is quite intriguing. Thank you for sharing.
