My Daddy's Shoulders Poem by Abednego Oghenechovwiere Omashone

My Daddy's Shoulders

Shoulder, shoulder, shoulders!
On my daddy's shoulder'
There I sit and holla,
With the world beneath me,
For there I sit and find peace!

My Daddy's Shoulders
POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
I composed this poem less than an hour ago while I was carrying my 2 years old daughter on my shoulders. The joy and charm she exhudes while on my shoulders is is the greatest sight you want to see it the world 🌎, so electrifying, so magical. What started as a passive hum became words and the words took on a form and the form blended into a pattern and then into a rhythm 🪘 and here I am with this short poem, 'My Daddy's Shoulders'. I did a video of myself and daughter singing the rhyme and maybe you might like it. I'm sorry it comes unedited, without filters, just the way we were when we composed the poem. I do not hope to make the poem longer than one stanza but who knows, I might come back here one day to and some other stanzas, but for now, I hope you enjoy this piece 🧩 from daughter and father.
