My Crush Poem by Raimi Babatunde

My Crush

Sometimes I wonder how we got entangled
I want to hate and love you
My crush with a velvet voice
You give oxygen to my soul
And bring me beautiful "somethings"

Beyond the lucid cloud
I see a picture in a glass
Carefully tucked therein is your statuesque frame
With glossy ruby red lips
If I wander away like the lost sheep
Please call me back, I might have lost my mind

Forget the merchant men from the rear
They are destroyers of temples
They claim to be merchants from venice
What they seek is whom to devour
While they move to the next game
I am the real deal Sugar love

Like you see with the Crocs. and Hippos
I am not gunning for the waters of frivolities
What I want is your heart my Heart
I want to be your morning star and shining light
Somehow, you know you want me too
Please quit the "Stop it, I like it"

Even if you have a mouth that cuts like a blade
Flaws that makes you distinct and natural
Even if you are the offspring of Dangote
A nephew to Bill Gates, my heart will still yearn for you
In this game of love, we shall win, if we believe
