My Choice Poem by Felix Otiende

My Choice

My Choice

Like Roselle flower she is,
My inner eyes haven't deceived me,
A perfect and determine being,
With a kind heart and as loyal as a dove,

The world has their taste and perspective,
They will judge based on appearance,
She is a candle to my dark life,
Reinstated my dreams that was once shackled,

Mom, she is a true investment,
I was living wild and reckless,
Look at me now papa,
Am a man with respect in the society,

My teacher, who taught me respect and trust,
Never bothered by my level of education,
But always praying for my success,
Yes! She gave me what the world denied me,
