MY CHILD -- MY WORLD
As a child he went to school
And I too was - somewhat cool
Caring his health, packing food,
Cutting fruits And teaching good.
Then my worry slowly began
Thoughts moved fast as years ran
While he grew taller and older,
World seemed scary and also wilder.
Step-by-step, he'd move ahead,
School to college and the World I said..
New faces to see and places to go
Not in that old friends' auto.
Hope he'll care himself well,
Holding in mind all that I tell
Safe on road and avoid junk,
Specially on days of 'college-bunk'.
Polite to talk and keen to learn,
Positive thought and fame to earn.
Ignore bad n grab good at once
In family, friends and dear ones.
Neither it matters what he scores
Nor is it to earn in crores,
Health is the wealth he'd always need,
Happiness all through his life to lead.
My heart prays for his safety,
May he laugh and be naughty,
Blessing - all his dreams come true,
Being good and lovely too.
Ever blessed is a mother's care,
Every thought and deed does bear,
All the blessings and love in her tear
And wishing best for kids in her prayer.
