My Cheerful Cheetah! Poem by Rajendran Muthiah

My Cheerful Cheetah!

I was down and out with a shock to my heart
when my Cheetah dear removed her picture
from the Whats-up which I used to have
to see her face and read her replies brief!
A sudden change in anything before our eyes
shakes the balance and harms the calm
Prevailing there and of course to weaken it.

The quick vanishing of my vibrant Cheetah
Vanquished me, and a gloomy state
engulfed my body, and restless I was;
went out in my two wheeler with no aim
through the busy traffic of the Porur-road.

Stopped at my usual place, watched the vehicles
crawling by, like a quiet statue of sorrow.
With no one could I share my grief
I heard a click-sound from my cellphone
and saw there some request for details.
I put off and put it into my pocket.
Another click sound and I looked at the screen,
the mark of one on top of the whatsup icon.

A wingless bird I was, without strength
to soar and sing lovely tunes!
I touched the whatsup and to my surprise,
I found the charming face of Cheetah
which breathed life in me and reserved me.
I was in smiles wondering of my Cheetah's love!
Woe no more till my cheerful Cheetah smiles!
