Tom, this piece breathes with the peaceful movement of the sea in its most gentle mood. The sea can present so many different attitudes, but here you have beautifully captured my favorite. Ah, for the peace of soul reflected in the gentle arc of the ocean's horizon. Bravo!

Your brother is a fine artist, Tom. The Lake District is one of my favorite haunts in the UK, and it seems an inspiration for your brother as well. My mother was a landscape artist, mostly private commission work, and she passed on the gene that produces a drive to create that is impossible to ignore. I took up the pen rather than the brush, and often wonder what would have happened if I did the opposite. Do you paint, Tom?
