My Broken Heart Poem by Hesbon Nyamweya

My Broken Heart

In the quiet hush of twilight's glow,
A shadow fell where love once flowed,
Whispers of promises lost in the night,
Fading like stars in morning's light.

A tapestry woven with dreams and care,
Unraveled now, threadbare and bare,
Each memory echoes, a bittersweet song,
Of moments held dear, now gone wrong.

The heart aches with the weight of the past,
Fragile and tender, like glass it cracks,
A silence that lingers, heavy and cold,
Stories untold, a future on hold.

Yet amidst the sorrow, a flicker of grace,
A gentle reminder of time's healing embrace,
For even in heartache, there's beauty to find,
In scars that mend, and love redefined.

So let the tears fall like a cleansing rain,
Washing away the remnants of pain,
And in the dawn of a brand new day,
Hope whispers softly, showing the way.

In the garden of our yesterdays,
Where laughter bloomed and time would play,
Now lie the petals of dreams once bright,
Scattered and torn in the pale moonlight.

Love's tender whispers, once so near,
Now echoes distant, hard to hear,
A gentle touch turned cold with time,
A song unsung, a broken rhyme.

The heart, a vessel of fragile glass,
Shattered by moments that came to pass,
Shards of hope glisten in the dawn,
Yet through the cracks, a new light is drawn.

Silent tears trace a path on my skin,
Each drop a farewell to what has been,
Yet through the sorrow, I begin to see,
The strength that lies within me.

For from the ruins, a new path will start,
A journey to mend this fractured heart,
With every step, I learn to let go,
And find the courage to once again grow.
