Yes, the Sun is so generous. Always a giver It is always there to give us light and hope every single day. Loved these lines, to wit: " I will rock them to sleep and gently awaken them Let me warm the backs of those trusting not in me." Very touching lines of a great poem. To my Poem List.

What a wonderful and touching poem, Bill. The best poem that I have ever read about the Mother Sun. I love how you crafted this poem and how you painted the Sun as a great and loving parent to Earth. A one of a kind and beautiful thought.

Sun is star and earth is blue child. Existence of creation is very poetic in nature. If you were a child like this star, you would express your dazzling effect. You would sleep and rock gently. For children this may be difficult but wisdom strengthens mind. An excellent poem is beautifully penned. Thank you very much for sharing this lovely poem.10
