Mybeady-Eyed Lady-Love Poem by Rajendran Muthiah

Mybeady-Eyed Lady-Love

Her smiles spring up his urge to rain in verse;
but if he flatters her, she won't be meek.
Her replies will be anger-bombs in terse.
If he falls in dreams looking at her cheek,
She'll sneaze to turn him back from fancy's peak.
She'll pay him back the money spent for her
as being rich, with thanks within a week.
She quotes some maxims as she is clever
and if he sniggers, her scowl will make him quiver.
