أكتب هذا مع الأسف والكثير من الحب.

'aktib hdha mae alasfi walkathir min alhabb.

When you video call
I text you back
And lie!
Because I am afraid
And ashamed
To look back in your eyes.

I know I left when I should stay.
Left behind
a gap too wide to bridge
And covered myself with a garment of thorn.

If this letter gets to you
I want you to know that I am sorry...

Translation:

"I write this with so much regret and love"
