Mutiny On The Tongue Of Oshin Poem by Boghos Artinian

Mutiny On The Tongue Of Oshin

Mutiny on the Tongue of Oshin

The idea of mutiny arose

rather insidiously

on the tongue of Oshin.

Weary of being tarred

and soaked in alcohol and in nicotine;

of being filed against jagged teeth

and contorted by utterances mean,

some squamous cells sought deliverance.

Troops clad in white fatigues

took up the banner of freedom

and organized

into brigades of leukoplakia.

More disgruntled and deeper cells

recruited over the years

multiplied

into disobedient guttural masses

that eventually choked Oshin,

their master, and thereafter

themselves to death

in their quest for freedom!
