Must Be Poem by Rob Knetsch

Must Be

could be
that they were all right
and made the right decision
how painful it could be
for all the others
involved

should be
that shaking all hands
at the central meet
cleared all roads
from all obstacles
for free passage

must be
that it was all real
but some lost all dignity
degraded to instinct
all must be guilty
and will hang
