Music Whispers. Poem by Driss Ezzireg

Music Whispers.

Music whispers in my ears
Soft like the fluttering snow,
Light as the chirping of birds,
Blessed as the happy tricks of love.
Flowing in my respondent veins:
Exhilarating, invigorating, soothing,
Sweeter than the sweetest of wines.
My soul propelled to unsilenced desire
Closer to heaven than the persuasive lyre.
Music, then, whispers in my ears, whispers, whispers:
Time to hear the chimes of uncompromising love.
