You found a great photograph for this poem! Ancient people had a complex belief in the Music of the Spheres, and someday I hope astronauts will verify that belief. In any case, I thought of that beautiful myth while reading your poem of a visionary music accompanying our existence, bringing its harmony and melody into our very selves, so that we assume its transcendent quality. (Question: Do you have a particular music or musician who expresses this visionary kind of music? A celestial Mozart, or Cosmic Beethoven. or a Qawalli singer, or? ? ?)
First of all thanks a lot Daniel for your sterling comments. This poem is inspired by Sufi poetry n music. The image of whirling darwaishes of Turkey, the poetry of Rumi inspired me to write it.
Mad with the divine rhythm-positive and enchanting.Very nice!
Very nicely written. You remind us that life is going on all around us, it is not centered on us, the music of the spheres will play on without us but I think it would prefer an audience! Sit in a meadow and you will hear life humming, sit there on a still day and you'll still hear yesterday's wind. Thank you for sharing this beautiful thought-provoking piece.
Wonderful! I truly believe that for a poet the music never stops.
A dance of life in its true colours and vividness nicely put together. When something touches us very deep our heart knows no bound to restrict our movements. Awesome poem indeed, another full on....
