I like to write poetry while listening to music! ! ! It helps though not to listen to rock and roll while writing a poem about sorrow! !
Mmmmmmmmmmmmm- -your poem makes me hum along with it! ! ! !
Susan, such a sweet comment, so melodious. Thanks a lot.
Part 2 Virtues of music are innumerable. Of course, it melts the hardest of hearts. It makes the harshest of lives, worth living. Worth enduring. Heals us of all ills. Makes trees grow. Prompts cows to give more milk.soothes and gladdens an infant even who is still ensconced in its mother’s womb....makes it rain, without the clouds.... It melts the hardest of the rocks.
Thanks a lot for these brilliant virtues of music. It has broken a lot of barriers and transcended to sublime heights. May it melt the hardest of rocks. Be blessed by music always.
Hi Geeta, Music transcends the barriers of language, nations, oceans what not! When Guru Chembai sings an idiot like me who does not know anything about Carnatic music nods one’s head. So do I enjoy Beatles, Boney M. The great MD Rafi, Yesudas, Lata, MS Subbulakshmi.... Music is created by God so that world is worth living. Without music, world could have been Hades, the other side of Lethe..
Music has no bondage of language or boundary. To me, music is the mantra which connects our souls to the beats of this universe. Believe me, this poem is music to my mind and soul- skillfully crafted and aesthetically delivered. Thank you so much, Geeta ji, for sharing this lovely poem. Let music take over the affairs of life.
How wonderful Rajnish ji. Absolutely! Music is the mantra which connects our soul to the universe around us. Who could know better than you the soulful melody of music, not merely through words but actually listening to music with such rapt attention. Yes! Rajnish ji you have made my day with your soul stirring review of this poem. Thank you so much.
Music is very important to me. I can't even eat without listening to music! So, I'm really happy to read this poem
Thank you Kostas. Happy to hear that you cannot even eat without listening to music. Its the same case with me too. I sing while i cook the food for my family. How lovely Kostas! It makes life like a soulful melody.. :)
Mind and music both are associated each other. Tender music heals mind frequently. A great sensation this brings in soul. Yes, you are very right. This is music is Majestic Queen of symphonies. An excellent sharing is done.10
Thank you dear Kumarmani ji for your generous appraisal of this poem. You have always been kind.
Key facets of music are brilliantly depicted in this wonderful poem! I wonder how the first letter ‘M’ itself articulates different exhilarating aspects of music! Loved reading this short and sweet poem……..10
Thank you Dillip for your brilliant comment and for understanding the minute nuances of this poem so beautifully.
How very nice! Poetically and musically, Spiced. Very lovely poem on the effect of music on the mind and soul with a language all its own. Thank you, Geeta
Thank you so much Sandra, for a lovely comment on this poem.
Yes dear madam, it's the majestic queen of symphonies. Beyond M it can be extended further. Could you please contemplate to compose an acrostic poem spelling out each letter of music? It could be another great work. For this poem...top score.
