Great phrase 'colored words' The first 2 lines don't fit with the others, though. I suggest excising the first two lines and starting over. I hesitated in this suggestion at first, then realized the remaing lines stand better on their own than as the lines following the first two. I hope this makes sense. Here: ' When everything is tied in twos It lasts just through the night Labels drawn down your arms When they wrap around my back Visons blind our distracted minds These words are just an act But our shoes are looped in promises Tounges weaving through the mess We choose to let go of it And kiss away the rest The world seems as if your dream And you still feel you don’t belong Muse of a thousand words But the tounges are tied in song' See what I mean? (Possible title 'Tied in Twos') My best, John L.
