He of course really won due to the good luck having 4 horse shoes brought him!

Kim, I was never very athletic, probably because I have two left feet.

Oh, come on, Hank. Don't be so modest! Remember when you carried all of those guys out of the jungle in Viet Nam, and Forrest Gump got credit for it?

Oh, what fond memories! Poor Bri and his wardrobe malfunctions! I was very surprised that they let me ride my horse in the final lap!

Yes, I think the crowd was surprised, too!

And I've revised my suggested revision of line 24, to conform to your strict use of 8-6-8-6 meter in each stanza, Kim. How about 'not to see a full moon.' And start line 23 with 'But', not 'The'? bri ;)

Line 5 should start with 'Twas, not 'T was.

That's exactly how I had it to start with, and the computer underlined it in red, indicating that it was misspelled, so I changed it.

How about: 'The people came to see some stars, never expecting a 'Full Moon'.? bri ;) And, though I may have worn a 'jock', I guess they would see the FM. ;)

I like adding full moon, but I'd work on that line to make it fit in more smoothly. I'm tempted also to check out 'Arcilla de la Plays', but If it's Belle, she should say so.

More smoothly? The meter is fine the way it is. There are eight syllables in every first and third line, and six in every second and fourth line.

It's great to see poets' camaraderie in a highly competitive world of sports. Luckily, you could retrieve the running commentary of that event. You can surely expect some kind of laurels (?) from Bri Edwards.

'They say' that.........'all is fair in love and war', buttttttt.....at an Olympics? ? ? Unfortunately many of us oldsters probably recall another Olympics when members of Israel's team were killed. : (

Did I 'read' something in the poem which was NOT there? Or did Ron carry his sharpshooter Colt 45 (not been that day) with him and use up three bullets? bri ;)
