Murdark Poem by Arik Fletcher

This flame that burns inside today,
a thorn that bleeds my heart away,
through thoughts i'd never dare to say,
this cause to which my life i lay.

This voice within my mind today,
a scream that clears the rest away,
through dreams that in my mind still play,
this darkness turns my skin to clay,

This knife that takes a life today,
a soul released to drift away,
through words that i can barely say,
this place in which my secrets stay.
