Mud, Dirt, Cold Poem by Mackenzie Scholte

Mud, Dirt, Cold

Rating: 5.0

Rain drops on the window
And we're moving fast
And I'm looking out
At all these things
That are mud
And dirt
And it's cold
With my cheek pressed against
The rain drops on the window

COMMENTS OF THE POEM

I like this poem, because it creates a vignette into which you can dropp so many meanings and feelings. For me, I have the sense of a girl being driven away from something, her cheek pressed against the window on a cold, cold day as her past falls further behind. On another day, I might put myself into an entirely different situation on reading this lovely poem. Peace, L&T
