I think this poem is a triumph of the will against the alluring, hyponotic powers of Mr Sandman. I certainly have my own struggles with him. Anyway, brilliant deployment of personification Shaun.Listen to the opening lines of Roy Orbison's In Dreams...'the candy- coloured clown they call the sandman'..simply marvellous. It's certainly a tip toeing, stardust sprinkling 10 from me!
