Mr. Kamau!
Oh good Mr.Kamau!
He teaches!
Oh he teaches!
Of the wonders of the world.
Of the hanging gardens in Iran.
Of the pyramids of Egypt, the ….
But forgets the eighth wonder of Maasai Mara.
Mr. Kamau!
Oh good Mr. Kamau!
He teaches!
Oh he teaches!
Romping, rocking the class.
Spurting out the beauties of History in his mind.
Handsomely bathing everyone with his excited mouth.
Oh how I wish I were sharer in his wonder world.
How I wish I were sharer of his world of yonder!
Mr. Kamau!
Oh good Mr. Kamau!
He teaches!
Oh he teaches!
His voice slowly trails away.
My mind follows, into the dining hall.
The aromatic githeri simply irresistible!
I raise a fistful.
My volcanic mouth sings!
"Hey Kimoli, at it again! '
'Chewing cud again? '
And with a flashy bang!
His steel hard knuckle arrives.
Needling my fantasies into fine smithereens.
