Mother-In-Law's Last Love Poem by Kinsley Lee

Mother-In-Law's Last Love

She longed to see her granddaughter wed,
Enduring pain in silence, unsaid.
Through ache she'd held on tight,
No words, enduring day and night.
When she heard the news that the wedding finished,
And beautiful spring day, her dream's accomplished.
At once she deeply exhaled her breath
And put down her loads and passed the Lethe.
