Mother's Love Is Like Nectar Poem by Dipankar Sadhukhan

The sky is veiled with dark clouds.
So in this rainy afternoon
The sun seems to be pale.

My heart now trembles
With the roar of the clouds
And the lighting in the sky.

In this fearful moment
I desire to regain my childhood
To shelter in the lap of my mother.

My mother used to say -
Don't be afraid as I am with you;
You will always be safe with me.

With my mother's affection
My frightened mind would be
So fearless and tranquil.

In this rainy afternoon
I would like to be
An innocent little child.

At present time
I live with
My affectionate mother.

My mother's heart did not change
Though I have been so mature
With the passing time.

Again and again
I wish to return
To my golden childhood.

It think repeatedly -
I should take care of my mother
Even in my busy life.

Today a violent storm has appeared
In the sky of my life
And only my mother can read my mind.

Even now with the sweet calls
Of my affectionate mother
I wake up every morning.

When I spend every night by waking
My beloved mother says time and again -
Fall asleep as it is so late.

I have got love and affection
From so many people
But my mother's love is like true nectar.

I don't want to stop my work and duty.
I never want to lose my mother's affection.
I pray to God to have mother's love every time.
