Hi Veronica, reading your poem filled my eyes with tears. There a lot of people who are so, which your poem depicts. It should make us to be kind to such people. Thanks for the poem.

Veronica, this poem touches my heart. I'm so sorry that you were denied the blessings of a mother, grandmother, father, and motherhood. I know others who are in a similar, if not exact, situation. One has made two trips to Africa with a group called Mothers without Borders to help children in an orphanage in Zambia. Look around and perhaps you can find ways to share your love with others who need it. May the Lord bless you. And keep writing and sharing your poetry.

You are a brave girl otherwise you wouldn't have been so candid. So, please forget the feelings like 'bathing.. in self-pity. The poem goes into MyPoemList. Thanks for sharing, Veronica. By the way, Veronica is my favourite comic book character.

I have no memories of my mother. She was an unwed, skinny fifteen-year-old and she died giving birth to me.... //.... At a time when the world assembles to pay a collective tribute to all mothers who are made to feel fortunate and proud today, this poem reminds us of those for whom the 'Mother's Day' is no more than a day of mourning for what the life has deprived them of i.e. human dignity and love.

Oh, Ronnie! I'm so sorry that you are feeling down on a special day like today! You have survived so far and will continue to do so. The sun is shining brightly here in Kaysville, Utah, and soon it will shine brightly on you again. Think of all the good things in your life. God loves you and has some special plan for you.
