Mother Mosquito Poem by G. Akanji Olaniyi

Mother Mosquito

Biography of Mother Mosquito
Her choice was none hers
Nature did the trick on her
She had dreams to nurture her off springs
Teach them the way of life
Give them the best
As much as she could do
Let them learn survival
Let them look up straight at the future
Those were her dreams
But she has got just a few weeks
Only a few weeks
Those were too short for her dreams
She died before realizing her dreams
Her children, too, inherited her fate
