Mother Africa Poem by Kingsley Egbukole

Mother Africa

Go to the black jungle
and see the nakedness of man
To the jungle deep
uncover the purity of love
Navigate the axis of ancient jungle
and see the oneness of man
Down the jungle floor squat
to discover the soil morning raw
Whisper the jungle calls
and find the dinosaurs still alive
The primitive trees and fresh air
nascent and recalcitrant to change
Go to mother Africa
and see God at creation
