I can feel the abuse in this well written poem. The last line is the key, Because I know I have a choice.

You caused my tears to flow Frightened me for enjoyment Why do you hate me so? Did I deserve such torment? You wished I was never born But always favored my brother You abused me with much scorn And you wonder why I hate you, mother - - - - - - - -A painful cry of a girl for being tormented by her mother.It is such a sad story. It is heartening to know.that you have found your own strength.God bless you.
