Mother Poem by James Jennings

Mother

My mother's my best friend
She'll always give me strength til the very end
I never thought about it when I was young
I thank God for my mother's love
I know she still prays for my wellbeing
Asking God to help me see the light
I've tested her love but it never went away
For that I thank God every day
The Lord blessed me with my family
It all began with my grandfather in 1923
He taught my mother what a parent really was
Thank you Lord for the gift that keeps giving
