Mother Poem by Jeri Martindale

Mother

I am dreaming of her beautiful face, it has been so long since I have seen it, I wonder if I would even remember it?
How could I forget those gourgeous brown eyes you could get lost in; she had a heavenly laugh which she filled a whole house with.
She is walking beside me as I dream, her presence alone so full of life, calming the seas this stormy night.
Reaching down to comfort me, her aura surronding me; I never want to wake up from this sleep.
To only have her hold me in her arms tonight, to let me know that I'll be alright.
Yes in a dream she seemed so real, waking up, tears spill. I could still feel her touch, wanting her here but knowing she's not.
An angel now, she lays on the clouds, with her beautiful eyes gazing into my life.
Comforting me only as I dream, is she proud of what she sees? If only she were here with me, I could feel the calming effects a mothers love can release.
