Far down this memory lane of mine,
I see the young face of my mother:
radiant and smiling whenever I smiled;
painful when I cried as a very small child.

It is a sin to forget the natural love of a Mother they took us from unknown to where we are, sometimes we were heavy but they were not tired on carrying our weight
That was long but meaningful. Mother is love and love is mother. A mother is always a mother, without a mother you're nothing. Lines are smooth flowing, no barriers, in fact I enjoyed the read. Applause to you.
Dear Amrit Thanks for this very warmly and affectionately written ode to your mother. This poem coming from a man of your age, should be really compulsory literature for teenagers, people in their twenties, in their thirties and at any other age. So often we tend to forget our mother, being busy as we are. The things I did not do for her as a grwon up were causing the greatest and most bitter pain upon losing my mother. Luckily good memories were so plenty and she was such a wonderful forgiving lady, that the pain is no longer bitter but has a sweet side. Love between mother and son are one of the most special things in the world. Thanks a lot for sharing Amrit.
Far down the memory lane of mine, I see the young face of my mother, Radiant and smiling whenever I smiled, the good fortune of having such a mother is a great blessing to live in hearts we leave behind is not to die a love like this is comfort blessing during all the days of our life
Beautiful, poet, you not only have painted your mother but you have painted the love in right sense. Here mother is the carrier of such a human glory, human being have got from the nature and have cultivated thoughout the generations. Well-expressed... Lucid and sweet also to have its fragrance. Thank you again, and also wish you to maintain such genorous property of mind. Regards, 10+ pranab
This composition is so beautiful, sincere, honest, and heart-warming. A mother's love is the truest and purest form of love, indeed. So what if we are in our 40s,50s,60s or 70s. Each one of us is still a child for the mother and father. My heart breaks when I see so many mothers and fathers left to fend for themselves all alone while their children and grandchildren are all happily settled abroad in pursuit of their dreams and call them up occasionally and visit them once in a while in a few years for a few weeks. Even then they are so busy socializing, partying and shopping that they barely have time to sit down and say a few comforting words to their parents. Once they leave for the foreign shores, a period of endless wait begins once more for the mother and father...
You penned so many attributes of a mother and love for her child[ren]...a mother's love is infinite. This is truly a beautiful tribute to your dear mother, I felt her love for you as if i were her. Thanks for sharing
Your ideas are wonderful as always. This poem also reminded me that love doesn't necessarily mean living without mistakes. Love is an action, and sometimes choices we make aren't always the best, even when we love. My mother was a woman who made lots of mistakes, yet I know that she loved me, and acted on that love. For me this poem reminds me that many of us may not know how to mother, and therefore do not know how to act out our love.
Love it! ! I wish my mom was like that! I wish I was that close to my mom....
Her lips on my cheek still I feel like a child, And whispers in the ears, soft fingers on the neck, And hugging me in her arms, at 61 I miss, O how to pay your debt? What I can do for your sake? liked these lines so much. mother is personfied love. she is the symbol of God in our lives. you are setting a great example to all by adoring ur mother. God bless you Rathi
Glorious poem, my friend. Mother, the anchor of hope that resides steadfast for family and child! Lovely write! ; D
This poem so colourfully describes the purest form of love; that between a mother and her child. The extension of the word mother to use it as a verb and render it as a method adds a new perspective. I like the idea very much. These lines are very appealing: Mother your job, your life and the human spirit, You’ll be a change, basking in her glory like this!
The sweet memories of a mother cannot fade, Like the precious ornament keeps the jade, A mother is always a matter of beauty, No matters, whether the child is at one or sixty! ***** The poem MOTHER by Amrit Rathi is really heart- touching.
Mother, the BIGGEST & Larger than life women in our short life. The ulimate sincere loves just comes from their heart without conditions and onece they gone; emptiness keeps serrounding you and none can replace her. Mother comes in many type but the poet successfully describe the best type of mother with grace and passion. Since my own mother just gone, i really admit, this is the REAL poem about mother. Thanks.
