Dear Geeta ji, after having read the first six lines of the poem, I saw your mother in my mind, and I touched her feet for offering my sincere pranamam. An Excellent poem by all means,

I pray that you are born again, In a pious family of musicians With a blessed voice of silken texture Where you can learn and sing to your hearts content, Fulfilling all your dreams and desires And be my Mother once again! ......this concluding Stanza says much about your mother and about your love and hope. This poem is a great tribute to her. Thanks for sharing this poem with us. Five stars.

The words of this poem touch me in a way few poems have the heartbreaking pain of loss of such an important person. You honour your mother's legacy with this work. She is immortal in this work. A truly exceptional work. Thank you.

(2) I have tried my best to match that sophistication into my translation and also to retain the aesthetic core of the original poem but it is for the discerning readers to judge. Thanks a lot, Geeta Ma'am.

(1) It gives me infinite relief and joy to say that I have posted the Hindi translation of this exceptionally marvelous poem. This, to me, was not a small job but a real big challenge. The poem takes into account even the minutest detail that goes into this portrait.
