Hey, Daniel! This interests me because of my acquaintance with the Odyssey. One way to view it is as ethnography of sorts, for what it tells us of the mores, the culture of writer and audience. Odysseus is the hero, but considering the violence, the brutality, we see in him, I wonder about the author’s (Homer’s?) perspective on it. Justifiable? Regrettable? Ideas on this, Daniel? -Glen
