(cont.) 2 - yes, at least Freud would agree with you that dreams may reveal thoughts one didn't know s/he had. i THINK you are saying that. And that feelings which are very different, sometimes opposites are lurking in all of us. hopefully not as striking as in Dr. Jekyll & Mr. Hyde story! i do have some 'grammar' suggestions i won't bother typing, except sacred/scared and i would add s at end of poem. this is good. some nice wording. to MyPoemList. bri (:
1 - 3rd line: scared? ('sacred') ha ha? abstract dreams? abstract adjective 1. existing in thought or as an idea but not having a physical or concrete existence. i wouldn't call all dreams abstract, but you have NOT done that. there certainly are odd/unexplained/unexplainable parts of some dreams, but not all parts are abstract, even though one cannot hold a dream like holding a fork. Dreams have their own language/symbolism and often seem vague. But they often come to convey something. What is it? That is the challenge. I fully agree with the sentiments expressed in this beautiful piece. There was time long back I used to follow my dreams to understand what they want to convey. Well-said.
Wounded feelings are like wounded beasts! They may pounce upon us at any unguarded moment! So try to eliminate all angry thoughts as best as one can. Anger and calmness stay side by side! Never allow anger to have the upper hand! Profound thoughts! Loved the way the poem has unfolded itself from a dream!
