More Work, Says My Antenna Poem by Gayathri Seetharam

More Work, Says My Antenna

More work, says my antenna
-Gayathri B. Seetharam
Justin Trudeau is an enigma
Peter Zandstra is a mystery
The Directors of NASA, AGO and the Textile Museum of Canada are a puzzle
Dear reader, I need a 4 leaf clover
To figure out, Will he, won't he?

Will I get published and paid in different ways
Powerful men are whimsical in their ways
For they are hard to please
I woo their promising souls
To accede to my requests to publish and pay me;

Do I sound like a broken record
It is because my beautiful music
Is in vain
Unless they deign down to make me a happy woman;

Is it because I am beneath their notice, I muse unhappily,
I beg to differ for a beautiful soul
Has music in her heart and work
And they must further my career goals.
