I possess a written poem,
In truth and all be told,
By Ella Wheeler Wilcox,
A poetess of poetry bold.

For I truly love her poetry,
And I count myself a lucky guy.
Her poetry now to hold on to,
A poetess who'll never truly die.

My most treasured poem possession,
An old message never to be sold.
And Ella's signature at the bottom,
A poem more valuable than gold...

The World's Need

So many gods, so many creeds,
So many paths that wind and wind,
While just the art of being kind,
Is all the sad world needs.
