More from The Power of Myth
-Gayathri B. Seetharam
My husband and I hiked a short trail, Bruce Trail,
And the trail was all verdure
On the way to the place, we listened to CBC Radio and some music
Gavin Crawford is very good
And another person came up with a treatise on false memories
Which is a scary topic for academic and technical experts
Anyways, a Toronto study says that women are the stronger sex
And I say it is because they have XX chromosomes, two independent variables,
And men have XY chromosomes, an independent variable and a dependent variable;
Before I launch into a little discussion on two researched question and answer passages from Joseph Campbell with Bill Moyers in The Power of Myth,
I shall reveal a plan so bold and so 3-dimensional
That it will leave you astounded
And it is so radical that it will change your perspective on our garden
Which is a tad like a jungle with overgrown weeds and dying perennials
I shall dig up all the culprit plants and weeds with a spade which shall be the ace of spades
And I am the queen of hearts who shall plant bulbs in the fall on the entire length of the corner plot
Work, you say,
I say, the fruits of labour shall be flowers and a glowing feeling that
This is the only year that I shall work so hard in our garden;
Bill Moyers on pg 48, has asked the reason behind women being the ones held responsible for the downfall in The Bible
The following discussion is really interesting
Going back to my own comment about the Toronto study
Do remember that women make it 2X
While men keep it X+Y
Could it be possible that we women are a tad overbearing
With the exception of Yours Truly
Who am a little too independent in my thought processes;
There's this whole discussion on the US one dollar bills
And I must bring up the Canadian ten dollar bill which has the picture of Viola Desmond,
A Black Nova Scotian businesswoman who challenged racial segregation at a film theatre in New Glasgow, Nova Scotia, in 1946,
The reverse features the Canadian Museum for Human Rights in Winnipeg, Manitoba;
Borrowing from Motorhead's song, I shall say:
"If you like to gamble, I tell you I'm your man
You win some, lose some, all the same to me
The pleasure is to play, makes no difference what you say
I don't share your greed, the only card I need is the Ace of Spades
The Ace of Spades";
But I am the queen of hearts who does not gamble away the one chance that
PM Justin Trudeau has brought to my earshot, of publishing and paying me and also funding me for my next 50 endeavours
And many, many 1000 dollar bills would meet my expectations
However, I do hope that he adds $10 bills as well
For these make a statement of the equality clause in the Charter of Rights and Freedoms.
