Men and women have mused on the moon through ages. Your poem is just one of the many musings. Loved your thoughts on the moon. 'But I wonder In spite of no life How you look beautiful From this distance! ' - beauty of the loved ones increases with distance.

Moon is beautiful because it reflects the sunlight, but before reflecting the shocking orange light is cooled and turned milky. So is a poetess whose name is Bharati Nayak, she colls and beautifies the rough thoughts and then writes a poem. A good poetess like her is itself a moon.

A cool bright moon always dominate the curious stories of grandma's/mother's tales. Moon uncle is there in almost all Indian languages. It's wonderful as you said, how can the moon be beautiful if there are no greenery nor birds and animals....10

Your mother has given a nice introduction about moon as Janha Mamu as we generally call. You have very deep emotion and you have expressed this in your nice poem. In-spite of life we feel the beauty. Thank you very much for sharing this...10+

2 - Do scientists think the moon was formed by part(s) of Earth? I always capitalize Earth, except when i mean " soil" . Believe it or not. my mate (and some others, ....not me) say 'Man did NOT set foot on the Moon. It was fake, like a Hollywood/Bollywood movie' " they" say. Some also don't believe jets crashed into World Trade Towers and the Pentagon on " 9/11" . Of course some believe i'm crazy! bri ;)

1 - favorite lines: " Or was it When I was planted in mother's womb In a night lit by you And saw you through my mother's eyes, " But i don't understand: " you circled the Mother earth Born out of a chunk From earth's womb! "

Though it may lack beauty when seen from close quarters, it will create a romantic mood in everyone who beholds it and poets will continue to be inspired by it as you are! A lovely poem..... A sure 10

All of us are enchanted by the beauty of the moon when viewed from the Earth. This luminous spherical object in the night sky has been capturing the attention of all, young and old and our familiarity and love with the moon has started from the very childhood when our mothers or fathers pointed their fingers to the moon.

there are some who insist that only the barest ugliest view of something is the true or only reality. then there are others who would hold only the distant view or downright illusion. but it is neither one or the other, is it, bharati? issa captured the whole in his haiku— in this world/ we walk on the roof of / gazing at flowers. hold to beauty. -glen

In spite of man landing on moon, still it continues to be romantic and mysterious for the artistes. I have portrayed the moon and its exquisite charm in many of my dances of my style in Mohiniattam. We enjoy performing it with Mudra. Enjoyed reading it Bharati.....10

Moon is loved by all and by me. I watch moon and Lord Krishna is moon for me. This poem can be well co-jointed with devotion. 'Jahna Mamu', is our maternal uncle as introduced by our mothers. I have loved this poem. My interest has grown more to read this...10++

A beautiful poem on Jahna Mamu. I don't think there will be anyone in this earth who does not love the moon. I call it the queen of the sky. Nice poem with a sweet flow. Loved it.
