Monsoonal Relationship Poem by Runa Pradhan

Realised, why the monsoon
Departs the drenched Earth
And why the fullest moon
Diminishes to its non-existence

Does the Earth not insist
the monsoon to be with her?
Does the fullest moon want
To diminish only?

Then why the relationship
Gets unfastened after some spans?

Some people and their relationship
With me was why faintest and jealous
than this monsoonal and diminishing moon's
Relationship with the earth

But my this detached relationship
May never start again, perhaps.
If it starts, it will be pouring of
pretence and showcase of smiles only.

Nonetheless my inner self
Couldn't accept it with sorrow
Thinking that what a kinship it was
With the only superficial friendship.
