Nika! the imagery in this poem is stunning. I don't mean the meaning which is heartfelt and poignant (more about that later) . I mean the craft of imagery you display in the poem. You are in complete command of tone in this poem because you created a web of images that carry the reader forward. I felt the deep meaning of this poem has to do with PRIDE OF BEING - of being who you are in the truest sense, but you don't say that directly, your imagery does it for you in the genuine way that a poem communicates. This is a self-portrait poem without a trace of egoism. Every reader will find her/himself in the issues you raise about yourself; it's a universal poem in its reach, its stretch of meaning. Mulling over its meaning improves my image of myself. That your gift to the reader.

Yes Nika. A persons name means a lot and it’s music to your ears when your name is called by the one who loves you.
