Monkeys of love,
they are everywhere
they wait to steal and eat;
monkeys also steal hearts
and fall in love temporarily or forever;
they are restless
when they are out of love;
sometimes they are so jumpy
sometimes so sullen
but always so energetic
when looking for the fruit of love;
it is not what they live for
it is not what they wish for
but it becomes essential to survive
to eat and to dance,
to laugh and be merry.
Monkeys jump not only in search of food
but they also look for progression in life,
they move stealthily in search of a partner
they seek reciprocation
they like to inter-act with their own race
without inhibitions;
a monkey shares his chatter
gives angry looks, gets on the prowl
and though harmless
he is always so selfish
yet so procreating
and keeps telling himself-
life is for living the way one wants;
does human race not originate
from monkeys? .
