Mallika - it's a lovely love poem with sheer joy and honesty. An intense love was observed between two who were basking in their ocean of love with closeness in their body and mind. Thanks for sharing.

Just a single thought of you opened the flood gates of memories- Like waves they come one after another.time stands still in the moments of pure bliss when the poet says- My elevated emotions came up with me too Then all of them flew out as a laughter of time Past, present, future and all three Stood there silently for a while dear- -an excellently beautiful poem on love.

Your new poem is marvelous! It is both a classic love poem a-n-d a personal love poem; it contains both tradition and originality in perfect balance. One classical element is your intense focus on just two people, their sheer joy, their sense of being one, of being unique, of being at the center of the universe with BIG THINGS that usually dwarf us - sun, moon, oceans - players in their Love Games. This is the boldness of lovers but it is also their sense of humor which is implied by this overstatement. The man is proving his devotion and gratitude; the woman receives and returns it. She is quietly pleased; he is boisterously pleased; together they have achieved their hearts' desire. B-U-T in addition to these classical elements, which link your lovers to lovers everywhere, you express the psychology of love with sensitivity. The woman especially knows that this moment cannot last: sleep will overwhelm them, day will dawn and pull them apart, the universe will be silent. Night's magic recedes in day's reality. Still, like a true romantic, you have made a persuasive case for the power of romantic love, and I am one of many readers who will be convinced of its truth. Brava, Mallika, Poet of the True Heart!

This poem reminds me of a passage in the Old Testament which states that the way of a man with a maid is a thing of marvel. You have certainly given a beautiful portrait of a man in love with his beloved, who is extolling her beauty, it ends happily as well for the dreamer. If there is any part of this that is a reality in your life then you are indeed a lucky woman.
