How very true, Mary, a lovely poem about a loved item, that will never be thrown away, it becomes a comfort, and we all need that through life. Loved it. Love Ernestine XXX

how true, mary. this poem also speaks for me. i still use my old blanket (a present given by my mother on my 14th birthday) . we're thousand miles apart but when i'm nestled in the comfort of my blanket, i feel my mother's love and presence. thank you for this heartwarming poem. misty-eyed, merc ps: to david the name of the character on the charlie brown comic strip is linus, if my memory serves me correctly.
