Verily, the poem depicts the saga of suffering of the war victims who were forcefully betrayed and left to live a life of guilt whereas the true guilty felt themselves victorious and this is the greatest shame on so called civilized.

Path of victory Is time tested Gandhian avant-garde Protest thro' Non Violence... Don't tell me you agree with non-violence. We're proud Moms of kids.... where does the pride come from? Proud of what? What happened forcefully was nothing but DIRT, a murder of the soul, the mind and the body and that's all. No glorification, then why glorify it? How can PRIDE even be anywhere close to the COMPLETE DIRT done to a woman? Sorry But I differ totally. Crimes like RAPES are an epidemic, it needs violence, stricter laws. Putting the blame on women's clothing is a nonsensical excuse, a man will rape any woman he can find at that time. Delhi is the rape capital and Haryana the rape village, and that's India. NO you can't change the culture, that's impossible, or change the mindset, another impossible. However, if there atleast were stricter laws, men wouldn't dare. Perhaps then, life would have been better for women who are (when not victims) in a state of constant dread and alarm. The world, India esp. would perhaps, be a place for everyone, but what can not happen will not happen and that's all the truth there is! ! Though I truly admire your presentation of wars and how it effects the women and the children. War is the time when nothing, nothing at all can hinder crimes! Very thoughtful and empathetic.

To say that the level of emotional conflict presented here is overwhelming is an extreme understatement. Yet I see hope through this vale of disharmony, tears and sorrow. Man's true source of being and groundedness is woman. Again, I must congratulate you on your eloquence with verbal frugality.

======================================== ** ORIGINAL MESSAGE ******************** ======================================== From: Psaltydog * To: Nivedita [poet Under Threat Of Editorial Cannibalism Date-Time: 10/5/2012 12: 51: 00 PM (GMT -6: 00) Subject: Walking the line ---------- My hat's off to you and your courage. Sometimes the point of a pen can become a very slippery slope. Your cause has been heard and rightly so. War brings out the worst in the human condition while the innocent are the ones to suffer. Have you ever stepped back and just looked at where we (humanity) are at with our greed and perversion? Then, so casually, turn our backs on a poor and starving world. Niv, thanks for the invite to read your poems! Very punk rock to stand up and speak out against the spineless fools known as rapists. The reason governments don't do anything about this terror is because a government is the ultimate rapist, of women, men, and children alike! ! ! The goal of any government is to use force first, to aquire power. the spirit of domination and exploitation lives in every government-loving, cop-loving fascist on Earth. long live the underdog!

First I strongly condemn PH for Vicarious Vaulting the poet refraining her to post In Box comments of other poets and she has to take help from reader for the same...PH can you listen me? as still I don't find any rejoinder for PH of the post of AB 13.06.12...why? ? ? +++++++++ ======== +++++++++ About the poem.... I must say this poet is using her skill to be a vehicle to 'make-alive' slothful society Yeah instead of being timid these proud moms rearing their kids without any help from any where and clearly voicing at high decibel, 'We're proud/ Moms of kids/By Default Rape'...hats off to such Moms Poet finishing with, 'Oy civilized society/Can you hear us? ' because she is skeptical about societies indurated callousness to such problems Congrats to poet such a brave poem in spite constrained by diplomatic dogmatic PH 10++

To most of the readers of this site, you are known for exceptional originality, courage to take up the issues that others are often afraid of. It is essential that Hon'ble Editor of PH read between the lines of a poem rather than be choosy or prejudiced merely against some words. With this poem you have thrown a challenge to the civilized world that has not been able to do away with the crimes against women. We need to question ourselves - are we really civilized? Life is indeed the primary raw material of all art and poetry is no exception. You have taken your materials from life. Whenever there is war, communal riots, ethnic clashes - along with brutality and murder, there is another thing - sexual assault on women. I was a young boy in 'seventies and recall still how bestially the Pakisthan soldiers violated thousands of girls and women in Bangladesh. Same thing also occurred in Vietnam. It is still going on in some African countries. Why this could happen? The world community never asked - we never wanted justice for the victims and punishment of the culprits. But when Nivedita raises the issue through poetry there are many to criticize her, many in favour of banning her poetry. This is the real irony of human civilization. Instead of being puritan about some words and expression my appeal to the Editors to consider the social importance of the issues being raised by Nivedita. All the best wishes for you Niv, you are really prolific.
