Often communicating, via social media,
Is like conversing with a proverbial brick wall!
And all those spectral, automated voices
That issue forth from our telephones
Are so infuriating to listen to.
What ever happened to the human touch?
Indeed, what happened to manners, etiquette?
Sometimes I wonder if it would be better
To retreat like a monk and maintain
A lengthy, but most dignified silence.
