Mister Skin N Bones Poem by Dorsey Baker

Mister Skin N Bones

mister skin n bones his knees
buckles as he limps up the stairs
short trembling steps
it takes a very long time
just to make a few steps
old bones peep through
old badly weathered skin
his face was so full and bright
has now become dark and deep with so much sorrow
his body once big and strong
has become feeble and weak
so long a heavy wind has beat
upon his fortress wall
now it is no longer stable
and safe
allowing the poisonous arrows
to penetrate
