Mistakenly Broken
They say time will heal,
This wound has cut me so deep I am not sure what I will reveal.
Love is painful,
But it also makes you grateful.
I am distraught by broken paths.
But more affected by words of meeting at the junction.
I am the naïve one who thought love will always function.
I don't know why,
These sad eyes now cry.
Oh how I wish these were tears of a lie.
Not a true love to deny.

Hi Safiyyah, Very good poetry. On unrequited love. The sob of broken heart touches the reader deep and sharp... Let me quote: “This wound has cut me so deep, I am not sure what I will reveal”.. Extrelemy poetic expression. Breath-takingly lyrical and rhyming.
