Missing The Point Poem by Saul Palti

Missing The Point

As I walk this road of solitude with pale company who join at arms length
only I see the colours and feel the emotions which only an individual can sense
the gapping hole of death will play its part and I will seek avoidance
of true life's worth would be to find a companion to share the romance
but will the other half feel the same as I do or be my complete opposite?
As I wander lonely and begin to contemplate I find a place to sit
have I done enough with the time that was given to me by the great decider
or did we both lose because no matter how hard I look I may not find her
white pebbles fell into my hands just to be thrown out to the sea
and they came and went as lonely as they could ever
be

What is the point of this madness of living under others scrutiny
I thought I was meant to joyous, fruitful, happy and free
without others opinions raining down on me
but how can I feel this things without others feeling the
same
I think what I find joyful offends others and someone's to blame!
