Missing Poem by Cal Riley

Missing

Rating: 5.0

Missing from my life you said,
I'm sure, I feel it too.
You're missing from my life I said,
You said that feelings true.

But mine's a life worth missing,
I thought between my breath.
I ruined our beginning,
Now lament it had to end.

It's not I who will be missed,
Its you, until the very end.
Whilst I remain, unkissed,
By you, I'm rightfully condemned.

Nihilistic optimists,
I'm sure we make a pair.
Broken heart romanticists,
Our wants would never blur.

Delayed the course of fate, proclaimed
Without a trace of doubt,
Audacious to re-frame
What destiny has all put out.

So here i stand alone,
For the trouble i have caused.
You'll never be de-throned,
My love, my heart is always yours.
